Program Leader - FTC
Emily DeMille holds a B.S. in Information Technology and Systems from The University of Texas at Dallas and has been part of the FIRST® community since 2013, when she competed as a student in FIRST Tech Challenge. Since then, she has helped organize more than 150 robotics events over the past eight years, gaining extensive experience in volunteer coordination, event logistics, and customer service.
Professionally, Emily has worked at the intersection of technical education and client engagement. At REV Robotics, she developed curriculum and build guides for middle and high school students that continue to be used by teams around the world. At Gartner, she strengthened her skills in client support and relationship management, connecting organizations with the expertise needed to advance critical initiatives. She joined FIRST in Texas in 2023, first as Operations Manager and now as Co-Program Leader for FTC, where she helps lead a statewide program of 641 teams and nearly 1,000 volunteers, focusing on strengthening event infrastructure and building sustainable volunteer communities.
Beyond Texas, Emily serves globally as a FIRST Tech Challenge Global Key Volunteer Coordinator and Event Director, helping develop training resources and supporting event leadership worldwide. Her work—both paid and volunteer—is guided by the same goal: building sustainable communities where students and volunteers can thrive.
